WOLF dances SOLO
Inspired by the characters and motives of the fairy-tale „Little Red Riding Hood“, Wolf stages a 30-mins-one-woman-show about erotic curiosity, seduction, borderline experience and the animal nature. The encounter of the wolf and the girl is the red thread leading through a mozaic of freely associated, theatrical and kinetic imagery moments, enriched by the use of a live camera. Incorporating both main characters plus a narrator and 'neutral' performer the choreographer plays not only with the coincidence of her real family name as one of her roles in this "light and intelligent" (see press reviews) piece but also with identities facing the fragmentation of story-telling.
The solo was initiated during a study period in Chicago, Santa Fe and San Francisco and facilitated by the scholarship for choreographers given by Art Foundation NRW. It is the source and base of the full length group piece `WOLF tanzt‘.
